If you are within the same border counties, you're charged the $750 rate, if you're outside those, you're at $930. If you take two terms at $930, that's $1860 and 3 would be $2790. Two terms at UMPI is already $2800, you're going to finish at UMPI faster though... Again, you decide if that extra session/term is worth it or not. Both are Public/State systems and you should be fine with either, I would still recommend the TAMUC options as it's closer to you & more recognized in your area. So, are you 'touching' the Texas border?
I’m not technically in a border county but I have family property in a border county in my parents name
Do not mess with this! You can end up in a mountain of trouble. Saving a few bucks isn't worth the risks. You can be expelled and prosecuted for this type of thing. I mean if one loves orange jumpsuits and bologna sandwiches, go for it. LOL If you apply for any financial aid at all, you could end up in serious trouble by lying about your address. Your driver's license isn't going to match up and where you actually reside such as receive mail, pay bills, receiving your paycheck, income tax filings, property taxes, etc. You've also now created a digital trail which can be used against you.
