I'm going to say that generally, the best paying gig in your industry will be sales. If you can get yourself into IT Sales, your chances of making good money is a lot better than just doing general IT work. If you're really good at it, you can make a TON. Also good - Sales Engineer. The technical part of sales, so a higher base salary and then lower commission. Still great paying though.
