For comparison, the budgets here are often less than $10k. To complete the WGU SWE degree, for example, nearly half the credits can be completed for less than $1000 in 2-6 months. The other half would be completed at WGU in 6-month terms for a flat rate around $4k. So one term would be approximately $5k (including transferred credits), two terms would be $9k, and five terms completing the minimum 12 CUs per term would be about $21k. The amount of time it takes is so variable because the courses are completely self-paced. It's possible to complete anywhere from 0 CUs in a term (less than the minimum, but students have done it) up to, in extreme cases, the entire ~120 CUs.
