I totally understand the 'bad for employment' complaint but let's be honest folks, most of us are here for the degree and not necessary a "job." TESC did not help me get a job, nor did WGU, but I'm proud of my degrees and email signature.
With that said, I will keep everyone posted to my progress and experience. I will say the enrollment process for a phd program was WAAAAYYY too easy. All they wanted was my WGU transcripts. Courses seem to be straightforward.
Regarding religion, I have a friend at Faulkner and they're also encouraged to use biblical references/religion.
The lawsuits are unfortunate, especially the assault allegations, but a large number of prominent universities have similar issues (Michigan, Penn, etc)
I actually was looking at the DBA Accounting program at Liberty due to their Executive Graduate Certificate in Business and thier military friendly tuition policies, but after doing some research, I'm going to do the South College DBA in Accounting instead. Although the South College DBA is not ACBSP accredited, it's a potentially faster program due to the CBE element (1-2 years vs 3 years at Liberty). Also South College doesn't have the unfortunate politically distasteful issues that Liberty does either, and I'm not very interested in referencing the bible in any shape or form in non-religious coursework.
It is a shame about Liberty though. It's really relatively inexpensive for military students at $300 per credit hour, but that's on purpose so that they can extract more federal funding from everyone else.
