I don't know if I will ever need a business degree, but I need a bachelors ASAP, so I am looking at the BSLA, as that is the easiest and fastest degree I can get right now. I just want to make sure that if for some unknown reason I do need a business degree, I will be able to get one quickly with only needing the 30 UMPI credits (plus 2-4 other business related courses through Study).
If you need a bachelor's degree fast, why do you think EU's degree is the best option? You have to do at least 2 8-week terms at EU to graduate - 1 for the cornerstone, and a separate one for the capstone.
You also need more UL credits brought in to EU than UMPI, and those aren't generally the fastest courses.
If you post which credits you already have here, we can tell you which degree would be the fastest. I'm guessing that UMPI may be faster than EU for most people. And costs less.
I am actually looking at options for both me and my kids. I think that I am going to go with UMPI, but that isn't an option for my kids due to their age (13 & 15). They don't know for certain if a business degree is of interest to them, and so they want to do a liberal arts degree in the meantime. They will get the significant discount in tuition through EU because their dad is in the military, so I think it is cheaper than UMPI, as they would definitely need 2 terms to complete the 30 required credits. I am just making sure that if they decide they want/need a business degree in the future, that option is open to them and fairly easy to get once they are 20.
This is the degree plan I have come up with. The courses on the UMPI side that are green will already be done, so they will only need to do the residency courses and 4 classes from study. Does this look right? The classes that they have left for the Liberal Arts degree are the UL ones from study, some sophia elective courses, and then the 7 EU credits.
