What do you think about the Human Relations and Business degree vs Professional Dev?
I would say yes there's more writing than WGU. Remember this is not a CBE program so you won't have 1 or 2 papers. You have assignments due almost every week. It depends on the course and professor what type of work the assignments are. Some are cited discussions with responses and some are 3-5 or 5-8 or 10-15 page papers. Some are PowerPoint presentations. Some are reviews of various articles. Some are book critiques. It really does vary.
I think it depends on what you want the degrees for. If you want to work in human resources, training, or counseling then the Human Relations degree is the way to go. I'm doing the MA in Prof Dev because the extra grad credits will reduce the number of credits I need to complete in my doctorate. They're cheaper and easier in a master's program than in a doctorate program. There's also soooo many courses I'm interested in at Amberton that I won't struggle to find 8 more classes. I actually have like 12 on my list! They have a lot of unique classes that you won't find in many programs such as Managing the Generations, Managing Virtual Teams, Social Media in Business, Innovation, Sex roles in Business and Society, The Power and Wisdom of Love, and there's many more.
