Welp, time for my masters :)
#1
Welp just finished, my last class during the summer. Finally got my Bachelors of Applied Science, Project Management. :') So just a quick thanks for everyone here. Ever since I found out about this website, I've gained a lot of motivation to finish school. Smile

CLEP played a huge role, I ended up taking 33 credits worth of CLEP which saved me 2 semester of tuition. Now to finish up Newlane University for my 2nd Bachelors and start a masters program, which I am really considering HAU since the degree cost is so cheap or Amberton since they have the ACBSP accredition

Satisfied:   Admittance into the Bachelor of Applied Science in Project Management requires a minimum of an associate degree from a regionally accredited institution.
Students must complete the minimum degree requirement to earn an Associate Degree or Certificate.
Students earning two degrees subsequently or simultaneously must complete 15 semester units in residence for the first degree and have a minimum of 75 semester units, 30 of which were earned in residence at CSN. A course can only be used once to fulfill each certificate or degree requirements.
Please see the Graduation Requirement section of the Catalog for more information.

Congrats on getting the BAS Project Management! Great work, it'll lead up to the HAU MBA perfectly! I'd recommend them for the cost, ease, speed of the program, if you can finish it within a year, you're at an amazing spot! Even though ACSBP is a good additional programmatic accreditation, it really isn't needed, especially at triple the cost.

Welcome to the BAS-PM club! Cool It's interesting how different schools name their degrees - at UMPI, the major is Applied Science and the minor is PM, whereas at CSN, the degree name is BAS and the major is PM.

I'm curious about what drew you to CSN and what your experience has been. Would you be willing to share some thoughts about your journey?

Congratulations! I hear you about CLEP, it was a lifesaver for me back in the day.

Between the two, I'd choose HAU. Having worked in higher ed, I've never met anyone outside of these forums who placed any weight at all on ACBSP or IACBE. AACSB is a bit different, particularly for those who might want to teach, but the others... I don't think that anyone in the real world knows or cares.

Thank you, I really like the cost of HAU and I noticed that a lot of jobs out here where I am really just look to checkmark a box with work experience to make a decision on hiring people. Casino industry does not discriminate where you get your education from I notice.

Since I live in Nevada now, I found that CSN offered a project management degree completely online, and since I work a lot, I found that the structured pace of 8 week courses at a time really offered me a lot of leverage and forced responsibility to follow dates and finish quick. I thought of going to UMPI but I feel like with a full time working schedule; it would be hard to try to crank out a bunch of classes in a CBE setting.

I started originally with only 18 completed credits from my original community college (Western Nevada College). So when I started doing research, I stumbled on degreeforum and heard about CLEP though here! I looked it up and CSN takes a lot of my clep credit and all of my WNC credits, all while being being fully online so I decided to do it. CSN tuition was 170 a credit for lower level and 207 a credit for upper level courses, so I decided to get my associates and bachelors through there. Also since I work in the casino industry, they work alongside with the local schools. I know I could have gotten it cheaper from UMPI. However; with the networking I had already built at CSN, I ultimately decided to stick it out here.
