Good news for those attending participating institutions. Congress granted a waiver to allow American students to receive financial aid for online courses until June 30, 2022. This was extended to June 2023. Jump on the opportunity now. Normally, no courses can be taken online when receiving financial aid at non-U.S. institutions.

Sanantone,

I appreciate the information, but, it does not look like Montepellier participates in the US student loan program per this list. I am also verifying with Montpellier and will share what I find out. If this is the case, I will need to pay from savings through a payment plan or private student loan program like Sallie Mae.

Thanks,

Education Seeker

As a follow-up to my earlier post on Montpellier University, I confirmed with the Federal Stafford Loan US Govt. student aid customer service phone representative that Montpellier does not participate in the US loan program. Further, I called Sallie Mae does not participate with this university, but, this is not the only private student loan provider for international schools. I don't like the idea of taking another student loan as I don't have tuition assistance, but, the 27000 EUR (about $28k USD) is a bargain. Can anyone recommend a private student loan provider?

I also looked on the Montpellier University website and the Paras foundation recommended isloans.org, but, that company stated they also do not work with Montpellier. BNP Paribas is a French Bank and I do believe they might work with them.

I have not attended their program, but, I am looking at Marshall and UNC Greensboro Bryan School of Business as AACSB accredited programs that are about $50K (more or less). Both programs seem reputable and a good (comparative value) vs. other much more expensive DBA programs.
