Some colleges are ridiculous. I was enrolling at a community college at one point and was accused of "cheating". I had taken the placement exam on their computers. When I finished the exam the results printed out on the printer next to me. I picked up the sheet of paper with the results and took it to the front desk. Of course I wanted to see the results personally. The lady at the front desk said that was cheating, and then tried turning me into the dean. So I had a conversation with the dean about self-advocacy. The dean saw my point quickly dropped the case. I mean it's rather ridiculous because they're my test results, and it's not even like I was looking up answers or anything. That's like telling somebody that you created their paper but not letting them see the grade.
In all of my years of undergraduate school never once did I have a good advisor, not even after having the conversation with the dean at that school. This forum has been the best thing ever for me, and I am constantly recommending it to people.
