We're in the golden age of telework. Many professionals can do their job anywhere there is a good internet connection. However, internet infrastructure is something that WV struggles with.
You have to have people who live there who have those kinds of jobs. They're not abundant in WV at all so it means people from other states have to move there....to a VERY rural conservative state. The housing situation isn't what many people are looking for either especially the type of people who have professional employment which would allow them to work remotely.
