They made me take PreAlgebra basically, even though I had passed College Algebra and PreCalc and they're on my transcript with them. Sometimes they will make you take their version of math to fit their title.
How much you are going to spend in total, you said they put you to retake the same courses twice the you already did and at the end it will be se same cost as you have done the degree through TESU self.
UMPI is the same price for 8 weeks whether you take 1 course or 10 of them. ashkir already did a price breakdown for UMPI.
Assuming you take just the capstone & cornerstone at TESU, fees to TESU around $6600 for the classes, residency waiver, application, graduation fees, etc. And that doesn't count the extra cost of classes at SDC, Sophia, Davar, Coopersmith, etc.
5 terms (10 months) at UMPI is $7,000. So, if you transfer in everything from Sophia in the same way that ashkir has done, UMPI is going to be cheaper than TESU unless it takes you a full year to finish.
This ^^^^^^^
I'm super determined to be done fast. I did all of Sophia (minus Public Speaking / Communication at Work) and transferred it in. It left me with 19 classes. Liberal Studies would probably be about 10ish.
Once I'm done you should get a realistic accelerated pace. ss20ts is doing multiple degrees at one time and is doing amazing. I'm doing one!
If you are reading this and am thinking about applying to UMPI AMERICANS APPLY FOR THE PELL GRANT/FAFSA NOW! Don't procrastinate! I see people get sad that they didn't apply and have to wait a year for financial aid. DO IT NOW before the deadline closes. Early = better. Especially with an education friendly administration just came into power
