@natshar I don't have family out there... however I would love to move over there regardless since I have wanted to move out of here for the longest. It's just that I didn't expect that I'd get a role on the west coast *this* soon since I was applying for jobs verrry casually, and only for tech companies I thought I didn't have much of a chance for. I adore my team and was only willing to move if I found an opportunity I couldn't afford to miss out on, and here it is now! 
My boyfriend will be working from home til at least next summer, so he would be helping with rent as well! So I suppose it really isn't as bad as I was initially thinking
