There were displays of racism on campus with bananas being hung around that had the letters of the president's black sorority written on them. However, it appears that most of the harassment stemmed from the founder of a white supremacist website asking his followers to troll her.

I do not often read the off-topic section, and just noticed this post.
While it is quite sad that she could not celebrate her achievement like others before her have been allowed to do, and it is sad that she had to live in fear, I believe she handled it quite well. It is obvious that she is highly intelligent and is going places in life. The racists that stalked her.....I doubt they will ever know true joy, or experience any level of success. Prison or the grave is probably in their future.
I wish Ms. Dumpson the very best life has to offer.
