@OldManOfTheSea  Everyone keeps talking about cheaper and not much else. Sure, WGU could be cheaper; if you finish in one term, and a few other factors - TESU would only be minimally more costly because of your specific situation. However, since you are a NJ State Government Employee (this is where you are, and what your career path is).  TESU for either the BSBA or BA in Psych is the only logical choice; you will be looked at with a higher regard being a graduate of a NJ State school - its how things work; unless your Ivy.  I'm in the NE US like you - so I understand how things are in the region (it's how I picked up right away your Gvt job was a NJ based one).

You will be responsible for the residency waiver, accept that (currently $2800) - it won't be covered by your employer. Of course, you also have the costs of the Alt Credits (but that applies to any of the Big3, and any transfer credits into WGU prior to enrollment). You made it clear that this is a time sensitive situation - so I would not recommend that you try to avoid paying it by taking more courses directly with TESU as they take far more time to complete; especially since your employer is only will to pay for 1 course beyond what is required (you need 6 of those 10 covered credits for the cornerstone/capstone courses). Also by having only 2 graded courses (one that should be quite easy to do well in - the cornerstone, and one that requires at least a solid B in to pass, the capstone) you should end up with a very respectable GPA (as all the alt credits are just pass, no impact on GPA).

If the BA in Psych is simply more interesting to you (or fits your job's division/dept better) then do that one. If you think the BSBA is better suited to your work, then don't let the math scare you off - plenty of alt math options to meet those requirement options available. If all the AOS courses or the Psyc are available through Study.com (which I believe they are now?) the cost/time for either choice is pretty much equal.  I'll add that you can always look at WGU if you ever needed a bargain MBA later for business degree purposes; you'd still keep your hometown roots with the BA in Psych from a NJ school (TESU).

This was detailed in another thread but the courses for Psych AOS are all available through study.com. However, because not enough of them count for UL, another provider is required. In order to do a BA Psych you need to get additional UL through coopersmith, UExcel, TECEP, TESU or other options. Study.com currently (as of July 2019) only has 4 UL Psych courses and 3 of them count as electives when you only need 2 electives. So that would leave at least 2 UL courses to be found outside of study.com.

I agree don't let the math of the TESU BSBA scare you. I highly recommend the CSM learn math course, it is painless and amazing. Only $39 too.
