The wiki says that study.com 105: Research Methods in Psychology can be used to fulfill the "B. Experimental" requirement for the BA in psychology, but I just asked an advisor about it and they told me that it can only be used as an additional elective four sections J or K.
Has anyone had success having Study.com PSY-105 applied to section B? I have enough upper levels already, so I'd like to avoid taking TESU's PSY-322 Research in Experimental Psychology to fulfill that requirement if I can. (Reminder, this is for the ba in psychology not the bachelor of arts in liberal studies with a concentration in psychology.)

The CIS testing course is also listed on the Wiki: Research in Psychology (LL) CIS Testing
Another option is to request an appeal to the TESU registrar and enclosing the syllabus from Study.com.

I saw that the CIS testing course might be an alternative but find their website a bit off putting so wanted to check here first to see if anyone had successfully used study.com for this requirement. Honestly it's not clear to me that either the study.com or CIS testing courses have syllabi that match closely to the tesu course. So I wasn't sure if anyone had ever actually succeeded with either of them, or if whoever put the degree plans together that are currently on the wiki was relying only on their best guesses.
If i know that someone has actually used the study.com course to fill that requirement, I feel like I will be more confident in appealing.

Someone used the SDC course for the requirement, which is why it's in Wiki. When TESU changed their course numbers, they changed a few things.
That course used to transfer as PSY-322. Now, it transfers as PSY-2290 Intro to Research Methods in Psychology. In some cases, TESU can take an LL course to meet an UL requirement.
The TESU plans, in general, were put together based on confirmation that the courses worked to meet degree requirements based on previous student experiences.

The TESU plans, in general, were put together based on confirmation that the courses worked to meet degree requirements based on previous student experiences. Thanks. The language in the wiki indicates that this is often but not always the case (ie, that the suggestions are usually based on people's successful degree plans, but sometimes they are just best guesses), so it's hard to know just by looking at a specific course on the wiki whether the suggestion falls under the past success or the best guess category.
I will double check with the advisor to make sure that they were discounting it based on course content, rather than it being a lower level rather than an upper level. The degree plan provided by TESU does not indicate that the course for that requirement needs to be upper level necessarily, just that the only offering by tesu is upper level.

False alarm. I asked again and it's been confirmed that the study.com course *does* meet the "B. Experimental" requirement. Yay!

Glad you received confirmation and good to know that the Wiki is still correct on that front.

Good to know. Sometimes, advisors can be wrong.
ACE reviews these courses every so many years, so sometimes, things can change after a review.
It's good to question and verify things for accuracy.
