I mean, seriously .. how many people who have the CISSP are going to take the A+ ?

and the ITIL cert seems to be a pain in the butt too (I'm not sure teh ITIL cert is included in the software dev degree, but the material is taught)

Business of IT - Applications Business of IT – Applications examines Information Technology Infrastructure Library ( ITIL) terminology, structure, policies, and concepts. Focusing on the management of Information Technology (IT) infrastructure, development, and operations, students will explore the core principles of ITIL practices for service management to prepare them for careers as IT professionals, business managers, and business process owners. This course has no prerequisites.

and most everyone hates it

I've said twice (now 3x) that if you have the background, it shouldn't be an issue.  As far as the ITIL test, I read from several sources that it was a bear.  The easy way around it is to take the MIS DSST before you enroll.

One of the certs I didn't want to take on WGU's timeline was the CCSP.  After some research, I found out they would accept the CCSK (which is an open book test) in lieu of it.  The transfer guides are a literal gold mine of information, as is this forum.  Dfrecore was the one that clued me in on the MIS DSST trick.
