You may want to re-read what davewill and dfrecore indicated. There are so many variables in play, but in essence, it's all internal/external GPA at every school. You can take a course from one provider and transfer to another institution as long as it's accepted, but the GPA is an external GPA for their calculations, they can't add that GPA into their transcript as those would be only used for courses taken at each individual school. You will get the credit for the course required for your diploma or degree.
I recall from High School to College/University, it's the same thing - grades are used for admissions and other standards vary, like the tri-semester/quarter credit system, the % required for each course to attain a specific grade letter. So, if I was in India or US, and I transfer from College A to University B, my GPA from College A is used for admissions and is an external GPA. Courses I take at Uni B have their own internal GPA.
For Grad schools will look at the GPA and other requirements for admissions as well, again, if you've gone to multiple schools, they'll need to know where/what courses were taken and evaluate them accordingly. Don't think too much on this, use your time to get yourself that degree and work hard on a better GPA at the current institution. Courses that are ACE/NCCRS are always pass/fail like many college challenge exams, there are no grades to them.
