No one can tell you how long to study. Everybody is different. Do you have the official CLEP study guide book? If you can do well on the practice test in that book, it would be a good sign.
Best source to study from that you would recommend; books for example? I asked zapproximator about the basic marketing book he was referring to. I'm still waiting to hear back. I did check check out his site where he had did Flash cards on the topic. That was definitely helpful.

Some people find using the REA book to be sufficient, other people find using the InstantCert flashcards to be sufficient, I'd suggest using both if you want to feel comfortable.
