ARGH....
So on sunday my computer DIES.
I'm just stumbling back online now, while still playing catchup with other work and final projects. Now i've less than a week basically to study for CLEP. (didn't even read followups here yet, I just finished a windows install and i'll be catching up on stuff all week)
The college wont tell me if I can still get the CLEP accepted if I take the test any later than the 13th - i'd have to file an appeal, which might be denied. I will STILL study for CLEP and take the test mind you, even if I can't do it the 13th, it just throws a serious wrench in my plans if appeals aren't accepted and creates ambiguity.
Can someone familiar with the process please inform me whether the following is feasible:
I figured i'd sign up for the Modern States thing - if they make the CLEP test for free it's worth it (and compensates for some lost work by saving money). However the question is how long does it take to get the voucher, is it something like I watch their 24 hours of material on a subject, take a practice test (so they know they aren't wasting their money), and then I insta-get a voucher, that I can claim and am able to take the CLEP test the next day? Or is there a delay?
Assuming I pay attention to the training material and take notes, am I likely to need to review things more than once? Or should I assume that the 24hrs of material, on 1.5x speed (I can try 2.0 but not sure if I can keep up with stuff spoken that fast) I can hopefully get thru in 16hours of real time, should probably help an average student know the subject enough to pass the tests for marketing and management? Because 8 hours a day of study for the next four days I can do (thurs fri sat sun, take instantcert practice tests sun night, my scheduled CLEP for both was next wedsday but i'd prefer to move it back to tuesday or even monday when i'm off anyway because it makes me miss less work due to schedule issues.) but more turns into a bit of a question mark.
Do people think that I WOULDN'T know the topic well enough, from those studying conditions going thru the Modern States material on each topic just once?
If yes, do they think a few extra hours of the 'free clep prep' mp3 and package they sell would make that big of a difference done right before the test?
