Was the material covered sort of convoluted? I know a few Linux admins at my local CC who swear that the Linux+ / LPIC-1 is irrelevant to the field.
A better question is this: What materials did you use? Did you use the course through WGU, the OCG / Sybex guides , and/or something else?
Okay some quick follow-up after skinming through some of the second exam material -- there's some pretty outdated stuff here, such as some info relating to x11/xhost stuff that was interesting maybe 15 years ago but useless today.
Doesn't seem like much of it, but weird that it's there.
