Complete all General Ed at Penn Foster - Possible?

On a quasi-related note, my younger son's homeschool plan has not been working out well - at all. I just saw yesterday that PF charges $949 for the full high school diploma program, and one of the options is an early college plan which for the same price includes 5 ACE approved college courses. Since Study.com seems to be totally overwhelming him, I'm wondering if this might be a better, gentler way to both get him a HS diploma beyond the homeschool one he'd have gotten otherwise, and to get him 15 college credits. The lack of "time crunch" aspect is attractive. But I know there's not much love for PF in general in this forum. I'm going to do some more research. Frankly, anything is better than what's happening right now, which is mostly complaining, procrastinating, and avoiding anything resembling schoolwork.

I don't hate this idea. That is only $63/credit for the college work plus the PF piece of paper and the whole thing comes nicely wrapped. It isn't what we elected, but it doesn't suck. I might really think on where to use those 15 credits....if one elected to earn upper level credit with them that would be an added bonus and add to the value IMO.
