I definitely agree that the videos can get boring, especially if they are reviewing parts of videos that you have already watched/read. I rarely watch many of the actual videos, but I love having the audio to use on the aux while driving. Sometimes the videos do help to pound something into my head if it's not sticking. Hearing it and seeing it on screen can sometimes help me. I do not enjoy reading so much so having both options is perfect for what I want or need.
