They actually don't use a live proctor like ProctorU. It's automated software that guides you through the authentication process and records you.

To answer the question, yes, you'll take the exam right away when you click that button. They give you a password/access code (and also email it to you) so you can open the exam.

I believe they use a proctor because I watched the promo video for study.com "how the process works" and they say a real life person watches you so dont dress in your underwear or whatever lol
