I continue to review free or inexpensive sources to help our forum members conquer statistics. From other threads it's been quite apparent that the ALEKS way does not yield easy results for a concept driven course like statistics because it cannot present the "big picture" in an easy to understand relevant structured sequence. I have discovered a new possibility of combining this just started free EdEx MOOC (https://www.edx.org/course/i-heart-stats...ex-soc120x) to teach the concepts in a highly structured, simple, and engaging manner. When finished with this offering, the student would go on to ALEKS or the DSST to earn credit via ACE. I am looking for some immediate volunteers to try out my scheme. All the MOOC modules are already posted. So if you wanted to get through this phase fast, I can't see anything stopping you. If interested, join this thread for more info or shoot me a PM. BTW this stats MOOC is taught by sociologists and not mathematicians or engineers.
