I don't believe you can "teach" someone to be gay but I can certainly understand not wanting public schools to address that subject with one's child. I don't want anyone having that conversation with my son except his parents. I don't agree with that lifestyle and while I think the schools have a responsibility to protect all children from bullying and threats, the perceived solution to "expose" all children to LGBT instruction as a part of the sex ed curriculum so that they can be more accepting of the LGBT lifestyle/agenda, does not sit well with me. There is a push in public schools for the LGBT lifestyle to be "taught" or incorporated into school curriculum and I believe that is likely what the poster, Westerner, I believe...was referring to.

These are public health issues. What is wrong with addressing the spread of STDs among the gay population just like it's addressed for the heterosexual population? You forgot this from the CDC study.
