I contacted SL immediately and they confirmed this and several courses have closed book examinations now and seems like they are going to expand this to other courses. The type of examination is called UA and seems like they have it custom designed to fit their courses.
This is a major major change! have you guys experienced that kind of examinations already? I need your valuable feedback!
Thank you

I just officially signed up for Intro to Psych yesterday and took the first 4 quizzes. (I have been reading and quizzing myself but wanted to wait until I was ready to actually subscribe to SL so I can maximize my subscription) . I took all 4 quizzes yesterday and scheduled the final. Then I read that it's closed book and thought it was a mistake. The advisor verified that Intro to Psych is closed book.
This is my first class with Straighterline. I cannot fault them because this is still a very good deal. It was just a surprise to me because it's the first time I'm hearing this.
