With all of the success that my 18 year old son has had this year while at home, I had to give my 14 year old a run at it too. He has been doing great this summer taking some dual enrollment courses.
So far since December my 18 year old has accumulated 45 hours through NMJC, SL and PF combined. If he pushes he will graduate with an AS in Biology in December. He has enough credits to graduate high school now but we are holding off. I am thinking about using the AS as motivatin to keep him going towards his AS. Finish the AS and you have graduated HS. This kid, who just had his 18th birthday has totally impressed me. I am so proud. He has gone from an average HS student to a wonderful college/homeschooler.
My 14 year old has finished Intro to Biz, Principals of Management and Art Appreciation this summer. I ordered his study books for Hears to Your Health, English Comp and Hist I & I. He will be taking Geometry, Biology and Writing through a homeschool co-op and Social Science and electives at home with me.
My 12 year old will be taking Pre-Algebra, Physical Science and writing through co-op and the same at home as my 14 year old at a lower level.
My 10 year old daughter is getting a plan worked on for here in the next few weeks.
My 8 year old daughter will continue in public school.
My 21 year old son is pipeline welding making waaaaaay to much only right now, lol.
These kids are making me a proud daddy.
We are so excited for the new educational direction that our kids are heading towards. We finally cut the cord and withdrew them from private school and I resigned from my position as the head football coach/athletic directing duties. This will save us lots of money this year and countless hours of work. Plenty of time to work on my business and education.
