I'm in the military I have less than two years remaining. I've completed my associates in Criminal Justices only because it goes with my career field. My love is in computers. But I need to complete a BS before I get out and I'll use my GI Bill towards my Masters when I get out.
I'm clepping a course on Monday. But my CCAF does have 78 credits attached to it. From what I read on this site its easier just to go for a Liberal Arts degree I can do that. Now my question is I'm seeking an entry level job in Information Technology when I get out. So would already having a CCAF in criminal justice how many credits do you think I would need to finish an associate in Information Technology at Excelsior then roll straight into a BS in Liberal Arts? Or should I just go for the BS in Information Technology right away.
Again I need to complete this degree in less than 2 years. And for the sake of insanity lets just say I don't clep anything and just take all of Excelsior courses. How long would it take? And does anyone have experience in taking Excelsior courses i.e 8 week course. Or someone that's taking IT courses at Excelsior can tell me how difficult the courses are? Can I manage two course while working Monday-friday 7am to 5pm? And maybe can I take on more than 2 in order to finish alittle faster? Thank you!
You sounds like you're short on time. A possible strategy you can use is to quickly get any bachelors at TESC(the quickest), whether it's liberal studies or another. Then you can use one year of your GI Bill to do the Oregon State U "Second Bachelors in Computer Science", which can be completed in about a year or two. You will still have 3 years worth of GI Bill left for your Masters in whatever (MIS, maybe?). You will have to get a good math foundation before you start though. You can also try TESC's BSBA in Computer Information Systems, but most of your Criminal Justice credits won't transfer.

Don't waste time by trying to save time. The only sure way to complete your degree is to knock out credits quickly and efficiently.
Don't let easiness bite you in the rear. Know your endgame (where you want to be) and plan backward from there. Your education is a means to an end.
Be honest professionally, socially and academically. There are people (especially little ones) who look up to you and they're going by your example.
Be proud. Whether you're an Engineer or Fast Food worker, there is honor and dignity in hard work.
Picking on people weaker than you only proves that you are a weak person.
