I really enjoy history, so this test was interesting to study for . There is quite a broad range of material to know though. I used the IC flashcards but supplemented quite a bit with other resources. You may not need to know specific dates, but you do need to know the general time period each event happened and the order of the events, which is hard to get from just the flashcards. I looked back through my high school textbook, and the other extremely helpful resource I found was HippoCampus U.S. History & American Government - Homework and Study Help videos. I watch the majority of the ones pertaining to the time period of the US History 1 CLEP. They were a great way to see history in action and learn the material in a different way than just reading it.
