The reason I earn credit from places other than Excelsior where I am enrolled is cost. Excelsior charges about almost twice what I pay at Fort Hays for my classes. Unfortunately, Fort Hays isn't as helpful with my CCAF transfer credits. Also, with Excelsior I have the opportunity to get a BS with a major rather than the Bachelor of General Studies at Fort Hays. My tuition assistance days are long behind me and I missed the post 9/11 GI Bill by two months. Cheap is very important.
