They have a lot of online courses in IT and computer science that are self-paced within 8 to 16 week terms. The great thing about TESC is that they will give upper level credit to community college courses. Just have them plan a course ahead of time to see how it will transcribe. I received a lot of UL credit for my CC courses when completing my first BA. The trick is to match the CTC or whatever course to an UL course offered by TESC or one that's in the PLA database and them ask them to approve it. There is, however, a limit to the number of community college courses you can transfer. I believe it's 80.
CTC gives a pretty good tuition rate. I was using TA to cover it and buying the books. That's cool about the UL credit given by TESC. I will definitely have to keep that in mind as I decide the best way to go about getting my BSBA.
Edit: As it stands right now with the evaluation they gave me for my BSBA in CIS, I currently have 64 credits applied and need 56. If I complete the ENS-314 class for my AAS, it will give me another 6 credits, which brings me down to 50. Then I will be doing the ENC-102 as well for my AAS, which is needed/counts towards my BSBA, so that brings me down to 47 credits I would need to fill. Seeing as how there are at least 5-6 classes I could CLEP/DSST out of the remaining courses I'd need to take (humanities, social science, gen ed electives...) I really think I'd only need about 30 or so credits I would have to actually "take". I could be wrong. We'll find out when I actually talk to my adviser on the 23rd or something like that.
Cheers!
