So I just got back from testing at UH. I passed my biology exam with a 52 - kind of close but its all good. I used the REA and IC but I think the best thing that helped me was this link
CLEP: Biology
I took notes and reviewed them and took the practice tests.
As well note that the exam is 115 questions.
The main thing is definitely understanding and remembering the content since there are so many questions in the form of all of the following EXCEPT - and if you look at all the answers there are generally a few that are a given to be incorrect. I studied about 2 weeks and was just biologied out - I am definitely taking the NS exam as a follow up.
Just wanted to thank everyone on here and all the information - it really helped and I just tested out of enough credits to finish my AA
