Now I realize why so many of you went for 2nd Bachelors! (TESC Enrollment Fee)
#26
CollegeStudent7 – while I appreciate your enthusiasm and your desire to be well informed before proceeding, the requests/questions are more in line with what the Advisement Center handles. However, in order to have your questions addressed by the Advisement Center, you must be a fully enrolled student. I encourage you to enroll in order to have access to these services. Success in your future endeavors at Thomas Edison State College.

Yup, that's what they just sent me. I took out names for privacy. I explained that my FAFSA went through and that I planned on using FA to cover enrollment as it's pretty steep. I guess I understand where they are coming from, but I cannot believe that I cannot have some simple questions answered before heaping over the $2,600+ for enrollment. I mean, how am I supposed to devise a plan?

I did the math and out-of-pocket I'll be spending just under 5k to complete my degree at TESC. It's the enrollment fee that REALLY gets ya. It's still reasonable, but I've now been toying with the idea of completing my degree at Empire State College. After all, I'm a NY resident and there don't seem to be very steep fees. :
Undergraduate Tuition and Fees

Only problem is...although affordable, it looks like they require 32 credits directly through them:Transfer Credit | SUNY Empire State College

That would be more expensive than TESC and slow me down a bit.

Anyway..rant over. A little sad, but what can I say huh?
