Literature in English GRE Study Schedule
#1
On November 7 I hope to/plan to/will take the plunge with the Literature in English Graduate Record Exam. It is daunting but exciting (imagine getting to study literature for three solid months!).

I am applying for IC forum help, of which there is always plenty. Big Grin

These are the study materials I have:
  • Norton Anthology of American Literature Volume 1 (the library has Vol. 2)
  • Norton Anthology of British Literature - The Major Authors
  • A book on literary theory on order from the library
  • Old ETS sample questions
  • Princeton Review practice test
  • ETS practice test
  • Eventually the ETS practice test they mail to you before you when you register.
  • Lots of books
This is the plan I wrote up yesterday to combat the exam:
  • Sunday - 30 minutes in afternoon, other make up in the afternoon
  • Monday through Friday - 2 hrs in morning, 1-2 in afternoon, make up in evening
  • Saturday - 1 hr in morning, 0-1 in afternoon, make up in evening
Does this schedule sound sufficient? But perhaps a better question would be, does it sound doable? Do any of you who have taken the test have any advice for more study materials? I have looked through the specific exam feedback, but have not yet digested all the information.

Thanks,
R.
