Finally made it!!!! (My "I'M DONE" thread)!
#1
Wow. I cannot believe I'm done. AHHHHH!!!! I'm excited!!!! I took my last test (Money and Banking) this morning and passed with a 55. For some reason, I saved one of my hardest tests until the end. (Note: this is a BAD idea). I didn’t really let myself anticipate this moment in case I failed. But I didn’t! God is good. Smile

I started last fall with zero (0!) credits and took my first CLEP test on September 10th of last year. Ten months, seven days, 1 failed test and 33 passed tests later, I am ready to apply for graduation at Thomas Edison State College! The only reason I made it here is thanks to God, my mom, an organization called CollegePlus! and, of course, InstantCert!

So if anyone wants to know if this is possible, let me assure you, it is! The amazing thing to me is that apart from school, this last year was absolutely crazy! During the year, I worked part time, went out of town many times (including a month long trip vacation and several weeks spent traveling around Christmas), had to put my studies on hold when our house and business flooded and finally, I had plenty of days and weeks that I just slacked off!

Because of that, I know it’s possible for anyone to do this. It might take you longer or you may have to take classes (which I didn’t-YAY!) or any number of other things. But you can still do it! Smile

Next up: rest! I also had an interview for a job yesterday (with CollegePlus!) that would let me work from home part-time. Then I have this bizarre thought that I may want to go to grad school now (thanks to all the crazy people on here who don’t know when to stop)! Big Grin So I may be asking lots of questions about that soon. Anyway, I’m done with studying for now and plan to enjoy it! Thank you to everyone on these forums who helped me along the way. You have all been wonderful at encouraging and helping me along the way.
~Brittany

From 0 to 120 credits in ten months and seven days because of CollegePlus! and InstantCert!!!

AHHHH!!!!!!!! I DID IT!!!!!!!! Graduation, here I come!

That's an amazing accomplishment!!! What degree will you end up with? What exams did you take? Did you have to supplement with any classroom courses? You have inspired me!!! I've gotten my first 12 credits in the last 2+ weeks, I had a more conventional roadmap planned, but stories like yours make me want to really focus and just get it done. Bravo!!!

Congratulations! It's an amazing accomplishment!

I'll second that advice: do not save the most dreaded exam for last. Get it over with early so you can enjoy the exams on stuff you know and like. Oh well, live and learn.

Now, take a deep breath, and start applying to grad school. You know, as long as you're in the groove. Big Grin
