Thanks, that helps. I scored a 59% yesterday on my second practice, and a 63% on the Am Gov practice.
I still find myself reading the questions and thinking I've never heard of this before.
Do you think reviewing all the Peterson's practice test questions is helpful in addition to continually doing the IC cards? I try and do that, because I know some of practice questions show up sometimes.
Thanks,

Thanks,
Mary...aren't you GLAD the Petersons site came back up in time to take your practice exams?! I was a little worried for you that they were going to extend the "down time", so I'm glad they didn't! I've been using them this weekend to practice for Mgmt and A&I Lit - I sure wish they had these for the DSST tests.
Anyway, good luck with your studying today and I'll pray that your tests go well on Tuesday!
Take care,
JoAnne

JoAnne Thank you. Yes I am so glad and thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support. I will b so glad to be finished with this week's exams.
I am going to also try the DSST exams on Getcollegecredit.com sometime today possibly. I am scheduled to take Fundamentals of Counseling and Here's to your Health next Friday.
Part of me is debating and wondering though whether I should skip the DSST exams, wait two weeks, and try two more CLEPS. I am trying so hard to finish this degree by Oct 1st at the latest. (that includes finsihing my IU courses/exams). I don't need UL credit.
I was thinking Principles of Managment, Principles of Marketing, maybe?
thoughts welcome.
I don't know if I can handle the DSST wait. If I knew I had passed everything, I could really buckle down and finish the IU courses.

If you need the credits, I would definitely take those two exams! I am taking Management on Friday and I have taken Marketing also. Both are VERY doable and don't take near the amount of study time that something like a finance exam or Statistics exam would require.
Go for it!! hilarious

Can you or anyone steer me in the right direct for additional study guides besides IC (which of course are the best) but I will be clepping out on courses that I have no knowledge in what so ever. LOL I am getting a little frazzled on what I should study (period). Think my brain is fried and I have not even begun to study....since I do not what which study guide that are the best for me.
I am planning on clepping these four first.
Macroeconomics Psychology Sociology American Government
Then later on to History I & II Western Civil I & II yada yada yada its a mix from here......whatever I can study for. LOL
brt,
First thing.....SLOW DOWN!
Just take a few deep breaths. I know you are excited about this new world of CLEP you have just found, and you have a gazillion questions. But you are coming across as being a little bit hyper!
I don't think you need any more coffee!
hilarious
My head is spinning from all the numerous questions and multiple posts you have initiated so far.
You really don't need to know everything about every exam and every available study resource all right now at this very moment and all in one go!
Here's my best suggestion for you at this stage.... Spend the next day or so just leisurely reading through the EXISTING threads. You will learn so much, and a lot of your questions will probably have already been answered in older posts.
Then, when you have a good solid foundation of knowledge, you can begin asking any questions that you may still have.
Does that sound like a fair plan?
The onus is on you to learn what you can by reading through the old posts, and THEN to come back to us with your still unanswered questions.
We'll all still be here ready and willing to answer your questions in a few days. So there is no rush for you to have all your questions answered right away.
Do a bit of reading first, and SOAK in the information. Then you will be in a better place to know exactly which questions to ask.
Shhh! Be still! It's alright!
It's great to have somebody with your level of passion and excitement on the board, but we have all the time in the world to discuss your needs and goals, and to answer your questions.
Alright?
Now.....Welcome to the board!

I do not think one should apologize for zeal, however that being said, I would certainly heed the advice of someone who has "been there - done that" on multiple occasions.
SLOW AND STEADY WIN THE RACE.........
Please have a good day.......

Mary, if you don't need upper level credit then from what I've read on this board, the management and marketing would be a great way to go. Faster to prepare for and immediate scoring. I think in your shoes that's what I would choose.
I'll be sending good thoughts and prayers your way on Tuesday!

You have absolutely no need to apologise for anything brt.
You haven't upset anyone, or offended anyone, or broken any rules. You have done nothing wrong at all.
I'm sorry if I made you feel bad.
My intention was not to reprimand you in any way, but to merely encourage you to slow down a little and take things one step at a time.
If you try to eat the whole cake in one bite, you could choke.
It's GREAT that you are fired up and ready to go at it. All you need to do now is focus in on an immediate goal (one exam). We will be better able to help you if we know what your first goal is.
You're alright brt. No worries!

OOPS a question. LOL
Upper Level credits are of an advanced nature, commonly courses taken in the Junior or Senior year of college.
All CLEPs are considered Lower Level. However, some DANTES exams are Upper Level.
Hope that helps,
