Am I Ready??

OK......
I just got home i took the Info. Systems and Comp App CLEP. I got a 50 on the exam so i guess i passed. I do not understand why i did so poorly. I knew all the IC Flash cards and i got good scores on the peterson exams. I am abit nervous now to take other clep exams since i thought i knew the material and i barely passed. Any input would be great.

Some tests are harder than others, even within the same subject.

I didn't take the test you just took, so can't compare it to sociology, but from my experience and what most people on these boards say, its one of the easier exams.

I just took the Intro to Socio two weeks ago and it is straight forward. Just keep going, don't stop. Congratulations on passing your first test.

There are several different versions of any given CLEP exam in circulation, and it sounds like yours was a difficult one. Don't be discouraged--your Peterson's scores were good, and that's usually a great indication.

You might also go through the practice tests in the Official CLEP Study Guide form CollegeBoard. I found them to be on par with the actual exam questions, and it's well worth the money if you're planning on taking multiple CLEPs. I used it for both sociology and marketing.
