I'm not a graphic designer, but I've worked with a few of them and know a bit about design theory... and my first thought matches yours.

There's no way that whomever designed this diploma was familiar with basic rules of typography (for example, mixing fonts and font families).

Mixing fonts is done quite a bit in web design.

I think this looks amazing, congrats!

I wasn't going to bother with anything like this, but I think it looks so smart I'll order one for myself when I graduate.

I think the criticisms including fonts are being harsh, just google image search some other degrees and you'll find they all look quite similar, including the error of using mixed fonts!

In fact the Harvard degree looks almost identical in layout and design and depending on year the fonts are very similar too.

Same with Oxford etc.

Check it out and let me know what you think!

Hello! Just wanted to reach out how did this degree work out for you job hunting? I am looking into this BABA pm and MIS degree or the BAS minor PM and MIS. I am just stuck in-between which will help open tech job doors. My plan is go back for the MAOL. My current plan is only 9 classes for BABA left or 10 for BAS. Id appreciate any advice thanks!

Have you made your decision or have an idea which way your leaning?

Right now I am debating both of these paths if I pursue UMPI, the BABA PM & minor mis & psych vs BAS and minor BA, PM, Psych. The degree evaluation I did get back, for the BABA PM minor MIS I would need to complete 14 courses + 4 with the psych minor, so 18  Confused  That was an initial turn off for the BABA + the |possibility| of the minors not on the actual diploma.

My ultimate goal is pursuing a MPH or related, I still prefer UMPI but I am still waiting to hear from TAMUC before making a final decision. I think my biggest hesitation with the BAS/BLS if employers aren't familiar with these types of degrees.

To most Employers a bachelor's is a bachelor's. Go on LinkedIn and look at people with the job title you are hoping to achieve and the level above that. For example look at Project Coordinators and Project Managers, or in my case I'm a Senior Facilities Manager and I'm trying to reach Facilities Director, you'll be surprised how many people in those positions have liberal arts degrees. I would honestly do the BLS but I need the same amount of classes to get the BLS vs the BABA so might as well get the BABA.

This issue I ran into was that few people ever heard of a BLS so they wanted to chat about that instead of conducting a real interview. I do wonder if the BLS held me back from being interviewed. Once I removed it and only listed my BABA it was like a switch was flipped. No one asks about my degree anymore except to confirm that I have it.
