Basically, each course has 4 units. Each unit ends with a 25 question quiz and small paper (3-4 pages) and ends with a 100 question final. Quizzes and tests are open book. No interaction with instructors. Just feedback on the papers. You choose your own proctor for the final who basically just gets you access to the test. No video or anything like that. There’s no tutoring and no writing center. It’s basically just you reading a textbook and then answering questions and writing about what you learn.
They do accept ACE credits, for anyone who is interested in that. But i don’t know how much they accept.
I don’t know…. Seems kind of over-priced if you are basically teaching yourself. Might as well just learn on Saylor Academy.
100 section questions, 12 to 16 pages of writing, and 100 question final? I went to a school considered to be on the better side and I remember less testing. Something people tend to forget is that 100% of schools were unaccredited at one time. The reason California Coast and many other schools were criticized was that they were too successful, not that they were failures.

When I got my MA from the University of Toronto, there was no "writing center." If you can't write or if you don't want to write, grad school is not for you. Just a thought.
And if you took a bachelors at the U of Toronto, back in the day, there likely would have been no writing course at all. The presumption was that you were taught how to write in high school. They worked on the assumption that students were grownups, not momma's boys.

Prior to the 1990s it was typical for graduate students to hire a typist/editor for at least their thesis/dissertation.
My father, a first generation to college, not from wealth, and funded entirely by merit scholarships and part-time employment, hired a typist for his MA (Toronto, 1968) and PhD (LSE, 1970).
Now, he was in analytic philosophy and he'd specifically not want a non-specialist to change his wording. But other students used more active editorial assistance.

I find it weird that someone revived my thread from two YEARS ago in order to pick a fight.

"Who are you and what is the purpose of this? Are you someone who knows Sanantone in their personal life and has decided to come online to harass them? You're not even accurately representing things they've said. This is not 4chan. If you want to defend California Coast University, then do it by talking about its strengths, not by attacking other people. Say something helpful or don't say anything at all...."
Nice to meet you Jonathan. And who are you by the way? Do you know Sanantone personally and are you her legal representative? I know you are the Moderator though.
And no, I did not attack anyone. Instead, I see people attacking Calcoast for the dumbest reasons (i.e. no writing centre, and oh you write 4 "small papers" for each course, oh there are no tutors...etc). I'm assuming these are the guys who prefer gamification over writing academic papers that are hallmark to any graduate programs. Strange isn't it? Does Tech Global have tutors?
Instead of focusing on me, maybe you can help me (and other lurkers) tackle the issues head-on~ why someone will consistently put down a school with current and recognized accreditation that's been around for over 50 years? Yet there is absolute favortism (maybe shilling is too strong of a word) in trying to steer Americans going to a new and no name spanish school that uses fraudulent marketing practices (fake Forbes website, shills posting positive feedback in various places on the Internet), and an absolute nightmare even on figuring out the degree granting authority, getting official transcripts, and the offering of various dubious programs such as the Master degree in MBA in Marketing? Why would one even talk about RVOE as in secretly submitting its approval...or in plain language...why would anyone even go for that kind of outfit? And yet California Coast is the DEAC accredited substandard degree mill? Please enlighten me.

The passage you quoted and bolded is not by me. It's by the poster with the username wow.

Your post to Vle045 was belittling. Your post to sanantone began with an obvious personal attack and didn't change course. The latter has been deleted as a personal attack by a moderator more senior than me.

People will criticize any university. It comes with the territory.
The merits and demerits of California Coast and Tech Global would best be discussed separately, unless and until a potential student is seriously comparing them both, which is unlikely.

Very weird. I never asked for help finding a writing center. Just noted it as one of many things they did not have that others do. You implied maybe I wasn’t capable of graduate level courses. I think my 4.0 GPA would disagree, but ok. I can’t imagine why someone would come along to defend a university with such vim and vigor. If you like it, good for you. It doesn’t mean everyone has to agree with you.

You're either trolling or experiencing serious mental decline. You quoted a post of mine that said that California Coast is now considered legitimate. You went from saying that I was shilling for Tech Global to saying that I raised the dubious nature of the company. My degrees are from regionally accredited, public universities. I'm sorry that I don't share your insecurities, intellectual disability, or psychopathy.
