I received this email this morning asking me to set up my email address. Is this how they tell you that you've been accepted?? LOL
I set up my email, but since then I have not heard from the school at all.

You just activated, that's nothing... You have to wait for an evaluation and it's done afterwards... Just wait for another email.

Yes, YourPace admissions is confirmed via email. MANY colleges now send an email with acceptance.

Yeah, I saw that a couple months ago when I checked Mainstreet because I wanted to defer to Summer Session 2 instead of starting Spring 2 or Summer 1, but you are actually admitted/enrolled when you get three more emails from them, and that's after you fill in the form to acknowledge you would like to get your academic evaluation completed, without filling in the form, you'll be 'stuck in the queue' and that's where people fall through the cracks...
Here's the first email:
This is Ben with UMPI Admissions. I just wanted to check in with you about the next steps for enrolling in YourPace courses. It looks like you were accepted, but we never received a confirmation from the form in your "Good News from UMPI" email. This means your transcripts have not been sent for transfer credit evaluation yet.
Please fill out this form to:
confirm your intention to enroll in the session you applied for.
defer your acceptance to a future session.
withdraw your application.
Completing the form will not require you to enroll in courses or make you financially responsible for tuition - its purpose is to show us that you still intend to enroll and want a transfer credit report (if applicable).

Second Email:
Thank you for completing the Google Form to confirm your intent to enroll for the YourPace Summer 2 Session. We have updated your status and moved your transcripts to be evaluated.
Once your Transfer Credit Report is complete you will receive an email to let you know your report is ready. That email will be followed by an email from your Professional Academic Advisor. That email will contain your Degree Audit and the next steps you will need to take to get enrolled.
Below are the steps to access your Transfer Credit Report in MaineStreet. I encourage you to keep an eye on this and be looking for the email from your Professional Academic Advisor once your report appears in MaineStreet.
How to Access your Transfer Credit Report in MaineStreet
1Go to MaineStreet: mainestreet.maine.edu.
On the left hand side of the page click the large blue button “Classic Student Center”.
On the next screen, you will be prompted to enter your username and password.
Once you log in you will be in your Student Center.
On the left side of the screen you will see under Academic History a link to your Transfer Credit Report. Click on that to see if your report has been completed.
