Hello everybody I am thinking of starting BABA Marketing at Umpi in March and am preparing myself with the Sophia courses. I have finished all GE courses soon and have taken the BABA Marketing Degree Plan from ss20ts and ashkir for after that. I see there are courses from Study.com. Is it recommended to complete the courses at Sudy.com or are they easier to pass at Umpi YourPace?
The courses at Study.com would be:
BUS 220: Managerial Accounting
BUS 244: Management Information Systems
MAT 140: Mathematics for Business
BUS 330: Marketing Management
Thanks for your help!

I'm sure some folks who have gone through the program could tell you better, however, you could probably compare SDCs course outline to UMPIs and see for yourself. I've heard that in many cases SDC classes are more assignments and harder. On the other hand, word is UMPI profs are dragging their feet with getting assignments graded. This is why it's almost always better to transfer in as much as possible.

@Mrbarbz, Welcome to the board, that's a very brief introduction without much information, since you're not done the addendum and template. I would highly recommend providing the details here, as we don't know how many classes remaining you have with UMPI for residency and what classes have transferred in as upper level. Essentially, you want to max your transfer credit, up to 90 alternative credits and complete the 10 'easier' classes at UMPI. Did you create a spreadsheet? If not, you want to use that as reference and for tracking purposes, you may even want to link us to your one/google drive and make the file viewable/not editable. Your Location: Germany
Your Age: 25
What kind of degree do you want?: UMPI BABA Marketing
Current Regional Accredited Credits: I only have credits from German law school. Not sure if they transfer.
Current ACE, CLEP, or NCCRS Credits:
Sophia Credits:
Workplace Communication
Visual Communications
Introduction to Statistics
Introduction to Ethics
Introduction to College Mathematics
Human Biology
Human Biology Lab
Environmental Science
College Algebra
Art History I
Ancient Greek Philosophers
French I
Introduction to Sociology
U.S. Government
I wanted to take English Comp I+II and US History to finish up on GEC.
And then follow this degree plan: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/UMPI_BABA_Marketing_Degree_Plan
But I am not sure if I really need to do the 4 courses on study.com. Are there any equivalents at Sophia? Or are those courses less hard at UMPI?

The German credits might transfer. You'd need to have them evaluated by a 3rd party evaluator like WES or ACEI.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

Exactly what I thought, you haven't completed enough of your Sophia.org to transfer the max credits yet. If you're following that plan, complete all the requirements as per the template, if you need the extra classes to make 10 residency classes or 30 credits, do that at UMPI. It's really easy to plan this forward, you decide what you want to do...
Oh, and you missed the addendum...

I want to enroll in March not right now. But the question is if these 4 courses I am recommended to take at Study.com (For time saving purposes) are harder than just doing them at UMPI as well.

Even if the courses are harder to do at Study.com than they are at UMPI, you want to transfer in the max classes to see if you can finish the degree in two sessions and not drag into a third session. For example, if it takes you 1 session for 4 classes, and you have 12 classes to do, then you'll have to complete 3 sessions at $1500/session for a total of $4.5K. If you can max that with a bit more effort and time management, and complete 10 classes at 5/session, you can complete it in two for $3K and transferring in 2 classes from Study.com

Hello everyone!
I'm excited to share that I'm in the midst of applying to UMPI Summer 2 for BABA Marketing. My goal is to complete the remaining 10 Business and Marketing classes within 1 or 2 Terms. However, I've noticed that the marketing concentration isn't as prominently featured, so I'm seeking feedback on the classes and the degree program as a whole. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
Remaining UMPI Classes:
BUS 200: Intermediate Business Computing
BUS 220: Managerial Accounting
BUS 325: Financial Management
BUS 469: Strategic Professional Communication
BUS 219: Product Development
BUS 261: Marketing Research and Analysis
BUS 307: Fundamentals Consumer Behavior
BUS 334: Advertising, Public Relations
BUS 337: Integrated Marketing Communications
BUS 430: Global Marketing

Basically, I would follow through with the info on the WIKI and complete Coursera Cert plus the Study.com classes before you start at UMPI. If you haven't started Study.com yet, you can get a discount using this code... Offer: 25% off the first month Link: https://bit.ly/3ObjnoU
