I couldn't enroll for courses using the XAMK HAKA login. I ended up doing the alternative way of enrolling by proving my identity through secure email.

Could you please explain how you did that?

I'm an EU citizen and received a "Study right for path studies" email from Metropolia after applying,
but from what I understand to create a User/Metropolia ID I need to either have a Finnish ID or verify my identity in one of their service points:

"If you did not complete a strong identification when enrolling, you must visit a service point of Metropolia's Student and Admission Services and present an identification document in order to receive your user ID."

Approximately, how long does Intro to Operating Systems take to complete if I have 2-3 hours free each day? Is there a final exam? Any other information for that course, please?
