Hello, I've applied to UMPI (mypace program) to complete my BA in Psychology with plans to start in July 2024. Can I still take and transfer in credits from Sophia and Study.com up until I begin my first term? Thanks for any help and info!

@annanotherone, Welcome to the board. Yes, with permission, you can, usually I recommend to complete the Sophia.org classes first and then work on Study.com, one provider at a time, and finally finish with UMPI residency requirements of 30 credits. You really need to fill us in with more details on your scenario, the more details, the better we can help you. Here's the addendum and template, please fill this in the best you can. https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...Area-works

Thank you! I filled out the addendum and template, but it must have gotten lost when I attached the transcript. I will respond again with the info...

I also have 30 credits from Alverno College (Milwaukee, WI USA) but cannot obtain unofficial transcripts.
Transcripts from all 3 schools were sent to WMPI, SNHU, and TESU
SNHU accepted 72 credits toward a BA- Psychology, TESU accepted 91 toward a BA- Liberal Studies
I applied to WMPI recently, because I think I will like CBE, and the yourpace program looks affordable and stream-lined. My goal is to complete my BA as quickly (less than a year) and inexpensively (less than 10k) as possible so that I can apply to a Master's Program. For that, I would like to go to UW Superior Online. The licensing (after Master's) for Clinical Psychology changes per state (as I understand) so I prefer to do a program in Wisconsin. I'm happy to be corrected or gain more info, though!
I do not have military experience. I am a certified Yoga Teacher and I own a business doing Landscape Design and Maintenance. I don't know if those count for anything!
Budget: I would like to complete the BA as inexpensively as possible so that I can use the money I've saved for a Master's Program.
Commitments: I have a spouse, 3 kids and pets. I own my own business which is busiest April-October, but I can be very flexible with it.
Dedicated time to study: I can study daily, more time available during fall and winter months.
Timeline: Finishing the courses required for the degree as fast as possible would be ideal. Before 2025 would be great.

You'll need official transcripts from all institutions attended sent to UMPI... My suggestion is to get the UMPI BAS (if you do 40+ technical credits that are cheap/free) or BLS with a Psych minor (it's not offered on the website, but you can still get it).
It's great you've got your eyes set on UW Online, if you can get in great, but you still need a backup plan in case, maybe add Kairos University options and Walden MS Psychology if you're going the Psychology route.
Here's an example, UMPI Bachelors in 2 sessions $3000 flat, plus Walden MS Psychology in 1 term a tad over $6000, add extra fees and transcripts, you'll be under the 10K and you'll have two degrees, the Bachelors plus the Masters within a year!

Thank you for taking the time to look at everything, that's very helpful! I have already applied for the BA in Psychology (a week ago) and had all of my official transcripts sent. Once I hear back, will I be able to discuss different majors (the ones you suggest) with an academic advisor based on my transcripts? Also, what cheap/free technical credits are you referring to? Again, thank you for the info.
