Took the TECEP at the earliest time slot available for the Jan 2024 term. No surprise on the test at all. I didn't use any of the recommended textbooks (Essentials of Investments or Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management) as they are just too thick. I purchased Schaum's Outlines Investments from Amazon for $2.99, spent 1 hour skimming through the text and another hour working on all MC questions at the back of each chapter.
Finance is just common sense. Plus we all become avid online learners and online investors since the Pandemic. Stocks, bonds, and options had become part of our lives since 2020.
Time spent studying: 2 hours
Score earned: 75/80 (94%)
Remember to work those 20 sample questions. Those are very important and you won't regret understanding them inside out. To my surprise not a single question on time value of money.
