Unless I am missing something, aren’t the tuition/fees for the University of Alabama’s online MBA a fair bit cheaper than any of the other schools mentioned in this thread? I know cost isn’t the main driver, but it is a big name degree/university at a pretty darn good price.

UA does not offer an online MBA otherwise that's exactly where I would go regardless of cost. I'm a huge Alabama fan and would love to be an Alumni. They do offer 3 masters degrees in business online but none are an MBA. UA-Birmingham does offer an online MBA but it isn't the same, at least not to me.

Had a friend get his MBA from Alabama while I was living on Atlanta. I suppose he must have done the executive program and I didn’t realize it (and how much he must have spent for his degree). You should ABSOLUTELY apply to Ole Miss. Their network is SSSSTTTRROOONNGGGG. That school is damn near a religion. The brand can be a good door-opener. And the business school is one of the strongest departments within the school. (But if you were a theater major, art major or journalism major, I'd tell you to run away.)
I would recommend it over Auburn with the caveat that I don't have much experience with Auburn or Auburn alumni. I've only had one as a teammate, but she was a j-school major. (But I did get to work with Bo Jackson on a video once!).
For what it's worth, I've lived/worked in Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi but never Georgia, so you may have more insight into what schools carry more weight in your specific area. (I.e. I'd never even heard of The Citadel until like two months ago. I've never once heard anyone talk about it this side of Georgia - but clearly it's well known in your neck of the South.)

I think I will apply to Ole Miss. The only issue with them honestly is they offer ZERO scholarships to their online MBA students. Most other schools have some amount of funding you can win/earn. The Citadel was well known to me, probably because I grew up in North Carolina. I also grew up in the time frame when The Citadel was catching a lot of flak for condoning the hazing of new cadets, etc.

I don’t know anything about either Ole Miss or State as far as alumni network but fwiw State is 6 credits less and half the price.
If that matters at all.

MBA at a lot of schools, especially if you did the first two electives.

Agreed- I would say their online MA exceeds what most other schools require for a MBA. I know their admissions requirements are more strict as well.

Not quite half. State ends up being 25k and Ole Miss is around 32k all in. State hides a $249 per credit hour "distance fee" in the fine print which I thought was shady.

I didn’t know that. Looks like it comes down to choice. Good luck. Me personally would probably pick LSUS. It’s hard to beat a AACSB MBA for $12k. But it’s hard to beat BU a top 25-50 school for $25k. I’m very curious to hear from anyone who’s in that program.

One of my business associates just completed BU recently, within the last year, and he loved it. That was the main reason it came on my radar. He did say that it was mostly group work and that had its challenges since the program has students from all over the globe. He felt like he learned a lot and said that you get out of it what you put into it.
