Should we always mention the campus?

I do not see how it is lying to say you went to Penn State,
no matter which campus you received your degree from.

If a prospective employer wants more info,
they can ask.

After you have experience in your field,
and are out of college a few years, I do not think it matters much.

Lying on your resume is a big deal, even if you think it's not.  Don't tell someone something that isn't true, especially if they are able to check.  YOU know what you can call your school, so just go with that.  It would suck to get a job, and then get fired 3 weeks later because they checked your credentials and saw that you lied.

In the case of Penn State, it’s not lying because Penn State is all one entity.  Other states/universities may be different.  It really comes down to how the university is set up.  Some are separate entities (like Texas A&M, University of Maine), and others are not (like Penn State).  Outsiders may not know the difference, but hopefully graduates will.

I am not sure if it is lying.
I  am not  telling anyone how to put things on there resume.

My original post kind of puts it in perspective.

Yeah, I heard that Penn State World Campus students can transfer credits into the in-person Penn State college, and vice versa. Moreover, your degree will state 'Penn State' with no mention of 'online' or 'global,' as it's intended to be exactly the same as the in-person degree.

The downside is that it will cost you over 20k for that degree. However, they do accept up to 84 transfer credits and also take Sophia's credits!

Just to jump into a really old thread - Texas A&M - Galveston is one of those weird outliers - If you graduate from there, it is the same as if you graduated from the main campus in College Station. Same ring, mascot, etc., unlike all other Texas A&M system schools, you can only be an Aggie from College Station or Galveston.
