Unity Environmental University explores campus sale amid online pivot
#1
I think we have a few threads on this institution, they're known as America's Environmental College (now University).

"The nonprofit college has seen enrollment skyrocket since focusing more on low-residency and online programs."

"Unity Environmental stands apart from many other Northeast nonprofit colleges in enrollment trends. While others have struggled to attract students, enrollment at Unity has grown from just 573 students in fall 2011 to more than 2,400 students a decade later."

"The positive enrollment trend has only continued. According to its latest announcement, Unity Environmental now has more than 7,500 full-time students, more than 10 times above its historical average of 600 students. The university also said it is welcoming 1,000 new full-time students this summer, its largest ever incoming class. "

Seems like offering online degrees has saved them. They have some interesting online courses for non degree seekers and charge 470 usd per credit. Probably not that affordable for most people that visit this website unless the person wants a more niche degree like forestry. They accept up to 90 credit transfers, clep, dsst and at least the ACE recommended GED exams. No mention for or against accepting Sophia. I suppose someone could send them an email and ask.

I will assume someone looking for a Forestry degree could get the gen courses such as: sociology, psychology, env science, algebra, Biology + lab, chemistry, english I, religion, 1 art class and 1 language class from alt sources. 30 electives to top it off. Someone could graduate from Pierpont and see if they will accept the BOG degree containing alt credit. It seems like the forestry degree has a lot of lower level biology courses that might be satisfied from alt sources. At least a basic Botany class might be offered somewhere. 30 credits must be done in Unity.
