Hi, I'm planning my Gen Ed courses at SNHU and I'm a bit confused.
Please before posting the wiki link hear me out.
This a copy-paste from the Ged Ed requirements for the Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics at SNHU:

So far, so good.
If I go to the gen Ed page, here's what they say:
Foundation Courses
18 Total Credits
Complete all of the following
Cornerstone Social Justice (CSOJ)
1 of the following:
Cornerstone Humanities (CHUM)
1 of the following:
Cornerstone English (CENG)

They've changed their GE several times in the last few years, and I find that very annoying. Anywho, you can choose some but not all:
Probably only available at SNHU:
Cornerstone Social Justice (CSOJ)
Cornerstone Humanities (CHUM)
Cornerstone Sustainability (CSST)
Culmination Experience (CLME)
Unclear if you can take these at Sophia (don't match up perfectly):
Cornerstone English (CENG) x2
Ethical Though and Equity and Their Importance in Decision Making (EETH)
Historical Perspectives as Expressed and Lived by Various Past and/or Present Societies (EHPS)
Two courses from any of the five Exploration categories (EETH, ECCE, EHPS, ESMF, ESPE)
Sophia courses are available (perfect matches):
Cornerstone Math (CMAT) - Calculus & Intro to Stats both work for sure
Creative and Critical Expression Across Diverse Social, Cultural, and Historical Contexts (ECCE) - Public Speaking
Scientific and Mathematical Fluencies and Their Importance in Evaluating Problems and Creating Solutions (ESMF) - Human Biology
Roles of Social, Political, Psychological, and Economic Contexts in Shaping the Self in Society (ESPE) - Macroeconomics, Microeconomics
They also say that they take Study.com, SL, CLEP, and DSST commonly - so there's some hope. But there's no way to know up front what they will take. Your best bet is to take a couple of months to do as many Sophia courses as you possibly can, apply, get an eval, and see what happens. Worst case is that they don't take much and you're out a couple hundred bucks, and you can then re-evaluate your options; best base is they take everything and you're left with exactly 30cr to take at SNHU.
Honestly, I think you're probably better off somewhere else if they don't take your credits, since it's a mighty expensive degree with a lot more than 30cr remaining. You could take a couple of the UL math courses and transfer them to TESU instead, and it would cost far less.
TESU BSBA/HR 2018 - WVNCC BOG AAS 2017 - GGU Cert in Mgmt 2000

I don't know a cheap (under $ 200) and self paced way to earn upper level math credits (like partial differential equations, number theory, abstract algebra, real analysis, complex analysis, topology...).
That's one of the reasons why TESU is not in my plans.

Thank you very much.
Before you update the wiki, what was the last time it was updated?
Because I was thinking of starting to learn all the courses I need from Sophia on August 14th till the end of November and then pay for the Sophia membership and knock them out in one month.
But I'm worried by the time I do that, they'll have changed the requirements.

Quote:3 credits required. Take any course from the required prefixes.
Are those required prefixes from Sophia or SNHU?

You may want to elaborate on what you're trying to ask, it's confusing as you're quoting something but not telling us what you're quoting... None of the previous posts have this info, I would guess you're quoting the WIKI page or something.
To answer your question (if I guess correctly, that's what you're asking), the prefix is SNHU. It's telling you on the WIKI what the course comes in as on SNHU side. You should review the links for the SNHU Sophia.org transfer link on the WIKI.

I was asking if those required prefixes are Sophia prefixes or SNHU ones.

The SNHU degree plans have been up for 1 1/2 years. Since then I saw the GE change twice though the changes were minor.
The Math degree plan is pretty sweet in that you could do everything with Sophia, then finish your last 10 courses at SNHU.
I wouldn't prestudy Sophia, that's a waste of time. It's better to go through the courses one at a time, starting first with English Comp, since there is waiting for the papers to be graded. While you're waiting for English Comp to be graded, open a course with no papers (touchstones).
These Sophia courses will be the quickest for GE:
Intro IT, Intro Web, Visual Communications, Environmental Science, Human Biology, Art History I/II, Ethics.
These business courses have no touchstones, which you can use for electives once your GE is done.
https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/So...lency_List
With the delay in grading English Comp I/II, you won't finish Sophia in one month. I would say that 2-3 months is possible.
Remember, you can bring in courses after taking SNHU courses. In theory you could start taking SNHU classes starting August 28th if motivated. (considering things are going great with Sophia, and you knock out around 10 courses by then)

These are all math problems you need to figure out

I saw that the maximum grading time is 1 week if I'm not mistaken

English Comp I takes at least 2-3 weeks to complete. Of the 5 Touchstones, 1 or 2 of them require you to wait for your previous assignment to be returned with a grade before you can submit the next assignment.
For English Comp II, there are 7 Touchstones. All of these (except 1 or 2) require the previous assignments to be returned with a grade before you can submit the next assignment.
You don't want to have both of these classes open at the same time, lest you wind up with literally days of nothing to do. Also, while max of 1 week to grade is the promise, they've dropped the ball on that for English Comp II especially in the past. Some students have wound up waiting 2-3 weeks for a single assignment grade, even as other students report near-instant grading for Touchstone assignments in other classes.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210
