Competitive institutions look at everything, you want to have certs, degree, experience, GPA, the whole package is what I'm getting at... Most people have college credits that are RA/graded in addition to their alternative credits at the institutions we recommend, combined - it'll paint a better picture of your cumulative GPA. How does your previous courses look like? An AAS in CIS from a CC with 3.4.
Several ACCT and CS courses from a 4 Yr with 2.0.
TESU accepted 85 previous BACS degree credits.
Currently working on TESU CS courses from SDC.
What MS or MA in CS/IT/CIS/MIS will be good for me, considering cost in equation, if you know any?
If it’s not UT or GT, I am fine with that.
Thank you!

If I only take the capstone at TESU and earn a good grade, hopefully I will be able to apply to UT Austin for their MS CS program.
If capstone is not easy then I will probably take UL Software Engineering at TESU as well to make my overall GPA better.
Picking the right professor is key. Some of them will let you redo assignments.

@LevelUp
Who do you recommend for?
Capstone
Software Engineering UL
Cornerstone (still likely I will take this at Edx)
Thank you

Thank you! GT's OMSCS is your best bet they are more forgiving with non-traditional degrees. tbh 3.4 GPA from cc, poor grades from 4-yrs and just 1 or 2 graded classes from TESU would not cut it for UT's MSCS. That program is super theory- and math- heavy. You need graded classes in Discrete Mathematics, Data Structures, Algorithm Analysis, Computer Architecture, and Operating Systems with all A's to compensate for the lack of "real" courseworks. Even that would not guarantee acceptance.
We hope that day would come sooner rather than later but right now most establishment graduate programs with the exception of GT OMSCS frowns upon a transcript with all SDCs and only one Capstone class taken in residence.

Does GT actually write OMSCS on transcript and diploma they give? Or do they still write MSCS on both transcript and diploma, regardless of medium of education?

I am hoping for that day to come sooner than later as well.

Software Engineering there will be likely one class so you can't pick professors.
I would check ratemyprofessor for professor ratings.
CanICode picked some professors that allowed for redoing of assignments. You will have to scroll through the posts or PM to find out which ones those were.

How will this degree appear on my diploma and/or transcript?
The name "Online Master of Science" is an informal designation to help both Georgia Tech and prospective students distinguish the delivery method of the OMS program from our on-campus degree. The degree name in both cases is Master of Science in Computer Science.

Does anyone know, if it is better to send an SDC transcript after each course completion, every 2 or 3 courses or just 1 final transcript when done with all SDC courses?

I would send stuff to TESU 1 or 2 times per month.

I would send stuff to TESU 1 or 2 times per month. Ok, great, thanks. I wasn’t sure if they had a limit on number of transcripts one can send (especially with added new courses every time).
