In 2024 TESU gave out 293,000+ PLA credits

TESU Highlights Credit for Workplace Training During National Apprenticeship Week, Nov. 17-23, 2024

Thomas Edison State University (TESU) announced today that in fiscal year 2024 alone, the University evaluated more than 293,000 credits for adult learners through Prior Learning Assessments (PLAs). These assessments, a hallmark of TESU’s expertise in recognizing college-level learning wherever it occurs, led to an average of 42 credits awarded to each student engaged in PLA opportunities—potentially saving a collective of more than $123 million in tuition.

I do not think this is referring to how TESU defines PLAs, unless they really do that many PLA evaluations which is way more than I anticipated.

That's actually a good thing, they've got a pretty inexpensive option for PLA vs other colleges, furthermore, the PLA should equate to RA credits as it's coming inhouse. Thus, people can complete the 30 RA credits with 15 PLA and 15 residency credits using the flat rate...
